Charity kit sold at Digital Scrap Garden

This Charity kit was created to benefit the family adopting Anderson, a little special needs boy who is in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. It contains 100+ papers, over 250 elements and 9 templates created by 17 designers.

The little boy in the layout above is Anderson.
This is the first of TWO kits to benefit Anderson. The color palate of the 2 will be the same so that you can mix and match both parts of the kit. Thanks so much to the 17 people who helped create this awesome kit. Some of the people are designers and some are amateurs. Anyone who wanted to help was allowed to. I am very thankful to all who contributed: Blue Cat, Cardiology Creations, Chunlin Designs, Dancing Princess Designs, Jstockert, Karen Wallace, Kay Miller, Kristi Mahrt, lotte + line design, Marshmella Designs, On My Own Designs, Rebo Scraps, Restored Elegance, Rumki Designs, Scrap N Sassy Designs, Studio 4 Designworks, and Ms. T’s Digiscraps

The story behind the kit:
Most of you who know me (Wendy…aka Rumkimom), know that our family is adopting a little boy named Clarence from Haiti. Shortly after we made the decision to adopt, I showed his photo to a friend of my from church, she broke into tears and told me that her and her husband had been talking about doing the same thing. I encouraged her and a short time later they decided to go ahead as they felt God calling them to adopt. One of the children available was a special needs boy named Anderson. He was born in January 2009 and was brought to the orphanage in Nov 2009. He was very malnourished and had a very large hernia. My friend Kim and her husband are now in the process of adopting Anderson. They are trusting that God will provide them with the money to complete Anderson’s adoption. I felt God calling me to help them by coordinating the creation of this kit and I pray that others will feel called to help by buying it.

We need YOUR help to advertise this kit. If you advertise “Hope For Anderson” anywhere (excluding DSG) by posting a LO made using the kit, posting a link to the kit and posting a link to your LO in a special thread in the garden (under Rumki Designs), you will receive special gift. Well today I am going to do something I don't normally do.... Tell you a little about what has been going on in my life. I use my blog for promoting new kits and giving away freebies and not much else. BUT today I want to tell you about 2 great things that happened to me in the past few weeks. Firstly some of you may know that my friend Dawne aka Ladybug Graphix and I joined forces recently and made a new Design team Duo called Two Worlds Design. Dawne and I became friends about 18 months ago when I joined the design team contest and started selling at DSG. She is a lovely person , so honest, sincere and always does her best to make you feel welcome at DSG. So to be able to design with her is just so amazing to me. We work so well together, we share a lot of the same feelings about designing and I think that is why we work and get on so well together.
I am also very honored and proud to say that I was asked to be a part owner at DSG .. You could have knocked me over with a feather. Both Nath and Dawne are just amazing, Nath does a lot of the IT stuff behind the scenes where as Dawne and I can usually be found getting into trouble on site with some of the many fun things we do there. If you haven't been by, you really should pop in ...there is always something fun happening.
Have you seen all the challenges that we do at DSG. There are sooo many fun challenges and the people there are so sweet ,you will find it very hard to find a LO that has less than 5 comments on it...
Why not check out my Scraplift Challenge. It's a real fun one this month . We are scrapping a great LO artist... Liz aka Sexy_Eyes. Her lo's are just amazing. She is so creative. I love her work and Really enjoyed scraplifting her LO.

I was Challenged..

Ok This is Just a Bit of Fun First thing in the Morning for me. I was Challenged By Jan aka IntenseMagic.... Here is what you have to do.

The rules are as follows:Go to your photo folder in your computer.Go to the 6th folder of the photos.Go to the sixth picture.Put the picture on your blog and description of it.Invite six friends to join the challenge.

Well this was the 6th photo in the 6th Folder. It was taken to show my Pal how far I was on our little( not so little ) Cross stitch Project. We got a new Cross stitch programme for the computer and decided to try it out and see how detailed it was... Well I think I went to far and the detail was just toooo Detailed, the colors are so close together it has been a nightmare to do, we have sat for hours and hours doing this, Weeks in fact... BUT I finished mine not long after this photo was taken in January 09. Janey is still at hers BUT she is on the hair line now.

In case you can't see it with the crease's it is Sly ( Sylvester Stallone)Now it's my Turn to Challenge 6 others...
